DEMAND NUCLEAR ABOLITION (DNA)
Demand Nuclear Abolition is an all-volunteer anti-nuclear collective working to challenge the violence of the entire nuclear fuel chain (cradle-to-grave process of making nuclear weapons or nuclear power) through education, activism, and art. We are based in Tiwa territory (also known as Albuquerque, New Mexico). The "Sacred Trust/New Mexico Threats" map you see above was created by Deborah Reade and provides a birds-eye view of contamination and environmental threats in New Mexico from military, nuclear, and industrial sources. To see the full map, along with the key, go here.
The map is hyperlinked with five main issue-areas that we focus on as a collective: Los Alamos National Labs, Uranium Mining, Sandia National Labs, the Trinity Test Site, and Holtec & WIPP. Each issue represents a different deadly aspect of the nuclear fuel chain and poses different threats to public health, the environment, and future generations. Click through our website to learn more and get involved in DEMANDING NUCLEAR ABOLITION.
